Since the Left deludes themselves into believing that a law will make violent criminals, of nut cases behave, why don't they just demand a new bill banning evil? Which is exactly what caused the school shooting Friday, evil! Stacy McCain makes a great point
Meanwhile, the New York Times has a story about the shooter’s first victim, his mother. Something that crosses my mind: You start your murder spree by shooting your own mother in the face, and end it by killing yourself — why kill all 26 innocent women and children in between?
Legislating "things" that could cause harm to another or one's self has been ongoing for as long as I can remember. I wasn't around when our government outlawed alcohol; that was a great success, huh? Next was drugs, that is another success....now it is a war on weapons for personal defense; when all along it has been government meddling into our personal lives that is the root of the problem.
EVIL was defined by Dr. M. Scott Peck, in 1983 in his many books he published on the subject.
"....those who are evil. Theirs is a brand of narcissism so total that they seem to lack, in whole or part, (the) capacity for empathy".

You cannot legislate peoples morals, values, or will. Evil is among us but I believe the majority are good and that there are those with mental issues that could be served better with proper facilities, funding and doctors.If the money spent fighting legislation already in place ie.abortion ( Iam personally against), gun control, religion (removal of In God We Trust) these monies could be used to help with the menatally ill, and perhaps have saved lives. Inherently though there will always be those that show no outward sign and they murder etc. good examples our situations Shirley. God Bless my friend
