Sorry for the incorrect information posted earlier regarding community service. Later I discovered that was untrue, and another statement from someone in Montgomery County government said William and Lisa Werneke charges were dropped. Again, FALSE.
Finally on Friday the new charging documents were posted and cleared up some of the confusion. A court date has been scheduled for Darlene Zachry, Annetta Frackman, William and Lisa Werneke. More on that as the information is verified.
Very little has been written about William Werneke and his wife Lisa, a/k/a Lisa Miller-Werneke. Both are charged with forgery, perjury, false swearing and conspiracy.
A pretrial conference is scheduled for August 18, 2011 for Lisa Werneke. Bill Werneke is scheduled to appear at his pretrial conference September 26 , 2011.
William “Bill” Werneke and his wife Lisa live in Forest Hill, Maryland. According to court records Bill Werneke works at Baltimore County Community College as an assistant instructor of computer machining.
Lisa Werneke works for her brother Chip Miller in a franchised oil changing operation.
They testified at the Orphans Court hearing they had seen the deceased, Raymond Marc Zachry, a close and long time friend trace over his signature that was already on the document when Mr. Zachry handed the document to them to witness. They explained that Lisa was teasing Raymond Zachry that she may not be sure he had actually signed the document, so he took the document back and traced over his already written signature and remarked to Lisa Werneke, “there smarty, now you saw me sign it”.
However, document examiner, J. Wright Leonard explained in her testimony and displays that what was claimed to be an original signature was actually a scanned image of a signature that was placed on the document referred to as a “will”. When Ms Leonard identified the source document for the scanning, it was actually written in March, several weeks after the fake will was dated.
