Finally a Philadelphia newspaper, Philly Burbs. decided to print a story regarding the widow or Raymond Zachry and , according to the prosecutor manipulated the will and insurance company.
However, there are details that even the prosecutor has not researched his information.
According to the story, as written by Margaret Gibbons of the Philly Burbs newspaper, “Ray Zachry’s mother challenged an insurance policy when in fact it was the widow Darlene Zachry who challenged the insurance policy that Ray’s mother would be the rightful beneficiary.
Darlene claimed to be in “deep financial crises” even though she was employed at Pennridge High School in Bucks County Pennsylvania as the supervisor of special education and a member of the Administration Board at the school.
Hearings on the criminal case have been re-scheduled many times for the widow Darlene Zachry (Zachery) and her co-conspirators many times since they were arrested and charged in May 2011.
The latest from prosecutor John Gradel’s office is that a sentencing hearing is scheduled for Darlene Zachery (Zachry) on December 27, 2012. She plead guilty of one charge of perjury, the other 50 charges, including insurance fraud was allowed to be suspended in the plea deal.
If you have been following this case for a while, you realize the pain and suffering Raymond Zachry’s family has suffered in the five years since his untimely, sudden, unattended death in Souderton, Pennsylvania on September 25, 2007.
Still unexplained is the huge (1950 mg/L) of lethal barium plus an elevated amount of selenium was discovered in his blood toxicology at autopsy. Montgomery County Coroner Hoffman, elected to office in November following Ray’s death refuses to release all of the autopsy reports or allow an investigation into the strange situation of Ray Zachry’s death.

Been praying for that for 6 1/2 years, but Penna is so corrupt that I doubt it will happen anytime soon….not unless a new election removes this coroner

Listen to how petty the law enforcement is around here. Hard working, decent men and women that work in North Philadelphia are the heroes. I know a person who is mentally disabled that found a credit card on the ground near his house. He used it to buy football cards on the internet, clearly not a wise decision even fro him. The police got a search warrant and proceeded to take the football cards costing about $50. He was then coerced by one of the detectives to cooperate and come in to fill out some paperwork. Well, 8 months later a detective shows up at his house to ask him to go to the judge with him. They had been monitoring his activities and even cancelled his mother’s credit card. Then he was facing 20 charges with 2 felony 2s and 18 misdemeanors. What the hell are they doing with the taxpayers money who pay their inflated salaries? You would think I was joking but unfortunately this is not the case and often times this is apparent in many other cases in the US. Think about it, how much do you think it cost in dollars for them to waste the taxpayers money on such a trivial matter?

Shameful when a sudden, unattended death that was proven by two independent laboratories to be poison and seven years later – still refuse to investigate the source of the lethal chemicals. Go figure that one…..

Thank you so much Noel, it is deeper than just a “will” contest. It has never been about “things”, that is something that the district attorney just can’t understand.
And, I do have a web site where documents and the video of a homicide detective’s investigation is recorded. This travesty is such a heart breaking experience for our family and a long five year journey.
God bless and Merry Christmas to you and your family.

That is my one Christmas wish. This has been a long five year journey; the corruption in Pennsylvania is so profuse that they will promise anything just to persuade me to shut the hell up and leave them alone. When the DA dropped the insurance fraud charge, even the AG investigator on the case was shocked.
They promise an investigation, but that is just another delay tactic and appeasement.

I just don’t understand how a document like a will can be valid without a notary. And how can the reporter get such an important detail incorrect? Did you contact the publication for a redaction/correction? Thinking of you, Shirley. You are a model of strength and patience. 🙂

Thank you Paula, there are so many “mistakes” in this case. Pennsylvania allowed the notarized statement AFTER the will was filed for probate….They are so corrupt.
