We have written since the 2007 poisoning death of Raymond Zachry about the easy availability of lethal chemicals in local high school and university laboratories.
The barium compound that led to the death of Mr. Zachry is listed on the CDC and Homeland Security watch list, yet no one has responded to our many requests for an investigation into the source of this chemical.
We covered a similar case of Marie Robards who poisoned her father with the same barium chemical. Robards admitted she stole the compound from the high school laboratory.
