An update on Ray’s Mom

Ray's Mom

Hello All,

My friends and followers, I have not been posting as regular as I would like for the past few weeks due to eye surgery. I am doing well and healing quickly according to my surgeon and should be back to posting regularly soon.

It has been heartening to receive notes that some has missed the postings to Justice for Raymond.

For the record, I have had cataract surgery on both eyes – two weeks apart. Not as bad as I feared. If I had known it was a piece of cake would have done it earlier. It is so wonderful to read without glasses, but the brightness of the computer or TV screen is still problematic.

God bless and I’ll be back soon.

Hope your eyes are good now. It’s sweet of you to explain, yet I find the blogging space very forgiving when ‘things come up’.

I’ve really enjoyed your last few post. Cheers! 🙂

    • Thank you for your concern and encouragement. The world is brighter now that I can see better. It has been an involved routine of healing, but well worth it.

      God bless

  2. I’m happy you are recovering well. You are in my prayers for continued good health.

    • Thank you. The world is much brighter now that I can see so much better. It is an involved healing process that is well worth it. Just anxious to get out in the yard and dig in the dirt….read more and do more on the blog – but only two more weeks.

      God bless.

  3. I am so glad you are doing well! Lots of healing thoughts. Looking forward to your regular blogging!!

    • thank you Tersia for your kind thoughts. Two more weeks for the second eye to be finished with drops. Already I can see so much better, but bright lights are troublesome – those wrap around sun glasses are a great help.

      God bless

  4. Glad you are well ! Take care !

  5. Praying for you… May the Lord bless you and hasten your healing.

    • Thank you Rev Bob, it is an improvement in vision already – but two more weeks to go – bright lights and the illumination of the computer and TV is troubling.
      I do appreciate your thoughtfulness.

  6. Take the time you need to heal – and I’m so happy to read that you’re already seeing such improvement!!

  7. Great news! Good to have you back.

  8. Great news, Shirley! Just in time for spring! I don’t blame you for putting it off. That type of surgery would scare me, too. 🙂

    • Thank you Paula for your encouraging words. I am doing great and healing quickly according to the doctor. It happens so gradually that I did not realize it was so far along until it was difficult to see things in shadows. Now they are so bright that is almost startling to go out. The ‘movie star’ sun glasses (my duaghter refers to them) are a necessity to go in the bright sunlight. But well worth the little inconviences. God bless.

  9. Heal well! You’re worth waiting for.
