This bill, SB5256 is a beginning to regulate and investigate coroner and medical examiners. However there is much more that must be done.
Public access to autopsy records must be standard in all states with rights to extended family for all records, unaltered and unsensored. Then there may be some recourse when a sudden, unattended death occurs and the coroner calls it ‘heart attack’ for a health, active person with no former history of related illness.
