Eugene Gilyard is serving a life sentence for murder. Now, another man has confessed.
Philadelphia, like other cities, the DA is paid to convict. If they can’t get a plea deal they will go for the easiest possible conviction. They chose who, when and why they prosecute a case and no citizen can challenge that decision. I agree with commenter, carla commenate’s statement – the police and Da must be held accountable.
In this case and others, eye witnesses are often incorrect.
"the d.a. and the system refuse to admit when they are wrong. these losers would rather let the criminal stay free than let an innocent person go free. bunch of losers."

"Until the DA’s and the police are held accountable this will continue. An innocent man whose life is destroyed whose wife and children lose their father/husband and their finacial stabilty mean NOTHING until those who put him there PAY."
