Wonderful advice for the beginning of a new year

The post offered very good advice, so much that I thought it would work for our followers.

Diversions

Reaching hands, new beginning

Diversions for the aching heart; death, lost love, tragedy are causes for a sadness like no other.

There are melancholy days; but one day it becomes necessary to leave our past behind and move on to better things, brighter life and new  beginnings; diversions.

The past will always re-surface like a pop-up window on an Internet screen at inopportune moments bringing with it the familiar aching heart, waves of sorrow and tears.

A special day will happen though unpredicted, unscheduled; one that was never noted on the calendar or refrigerator door, it is only written on the heart.

That day will bring with it a ray of sunshine breaking through the clouds of the mind.  The light will peek through first as a glimmer then flood the surrounding space with brightness. A brightness that will direct to a new future.

“Let go and move on”, how many time have we heard that?  But couldn’t follow the direction or were not ready to abandon the recollections, the mental pictures that  remain frozen in our subconscious mind.

This new light, can we accept a hand offering the way to healing, a new vision for our future or a guiding hand of destiny?

Do we resist and cling to the past for fear of losing treasured moments, or take the gently outstretched hand and trust it will be as promised – a source of  renewed faith?
